Hyperseek Listing Templates
Top  Previous  Next

Using this editor, you can "Draw" the way listings will appear in the search engine results. Use any HTML you feel necessary (ie: to make the URL in italics, etc) to get the "look" you want for the listings, including line breaks (<BR>)

Hyperseek allows you to define an unlimited number of listing templates, that you can assign, on an individual basis for each link to use. If you do not specify a listing template for a link, the default one will be used. This really gives you the opportunity to get creative (and to provide a nice up sell mechanism for the webmasters listed in your directory...)

Hyperseek Listings are drawn using either a pre-defined (default) template, or a custom template, depending on how you setup and define things.

By default, every listing drawn will use the "link" internal template, with the following exceptions:

Backfill Listings (from inbound XML Feeds) will try and use a listing template called "backup_results"
Paid Listings (listings where your advertisers have a bid) will try and use a listing template called "paid"
For each listing in the system, you can manually assign it to use a specific template. If this template exists, it will be used.
When someone calls for your results in XML Format, the "xml" listing template will always be used.
When someone calls for your results in INLINE Format, the "inline" listing template will always be used.
For your "SPONSOR_BOX" plugin, the "sponsor_box" listing template will always be used.
For your "HOTZONE" plugin, the "hotzone" listing template will always be used.
For your "FEATURESITE" plugin, the "featured" listing template will always be used.

In all cases (other than XML), the "link" template will be used if the requested/required template does not exist.

You can use the following codes in your templates:
